MUSCATINE, Iowa - Jayson M. Blake, 41, of Muscatine, died on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at his home after an extended illness.

Jayson was born on July 2, 1972, in Muscatine, the son of Jack and Betty Stauffer Blake.

He worked at Allsteel.

He was a little league coach and enjoyed boating, football, fishing, and most especially, his children. He enjoyed and was very talented in carpentry work.

Those left to honor his memory include his children, Jaycob Blake, Gavin Blake, and Rylee Blake, all of Durant; his father, Jack Blake of Muscatine; his mother, Betty Blake of Orion, Illinois; one brother, Jeffery Blake and wife, Danielle, of Walcott; and one sister, Jana Peterson and husband, Michael, of Orion, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
