Patrick A. McLaughlin, 40, of North Liberty, died Friday, April 20, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. Family graveside services will be held Friday, April 27, 2012, at memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City.

Patrick Allen McLaughlin was born January 1, 1972 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa; son of James and Patricia (Madden) McLaughlin. He graduated from Muscatine High School. Patrick was a good mechanic, after graduation he worked at Krieger Motors and Hoffmann in Muscatine, Iowa. Later moving to Davenport and then to North Liberty, Iowa. Patrick enjoyed landscaping in his yard and woodworking, which he was very talented.

Patrick’s family includes his brothers; Mike McLaughlin of Wilton, Iowa and James (Melonie) McLaughlin Jr. of Keithsburg, Illinois as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and Mother (Patricia) and Father (James Sr.).
